About My Site!

I've had a Carrd but I've always thought Carrd was just a little too limiting for my... genius..?_{Yeah, that's not what I'd call it.}

In all seriousness, I've been learning how to code in CSS, HTML and JavaScript as of late, and in making stupid sites for shits and giggles, I thought it would be fun to make a proper website! Which is what you're currently staring at!
But you aren't dumb, I'm sure you could guess that by seeing how... blue everything is.

This site took me roughly a month to make, and since it's been my pet project to slowly tinker with as I learn it's gained more and more functionality very quickly!
The thing that took me the longest to get working properly was the music player, which was a horrific bundle of if statements when it first started.
The most annoying thing, however was actually the layout itself! It's remained relatively the same since I started, and is exactly how I imagined it but it just. kept. BREAKING. Just trying to add this text irreparably destroyed the layout, forcing me to go at it in a different way.
Thankfully, it's all intact now and I don't have to worry about it breaking again!_Hopefully...

I think the best part about making this site is just how much I've learned making something that seems so simple.
Learning all sorts of fun and honestly kind of dumb ways I can manipulate the page with CSS and JavaScript has been really fun! But, it's also been frustrating at the same time. Especially when nothing goes your way and you have to look up a tutorial. Which I have done, way more than I'd to admit. Parts of the music player's code is practically ripped straight from a tutorial, just with some changed variables to make it feel less like I was cheating.

But hey, at least I never resorted to using AI! I think that'd cause more problems than it's worth.
